IR35201 is a dual-loop digital polyphase step-down controller designed for CPU voltage regulation, which fully conforms to Intel ®、 VR12 Rev 1.7, VR12.5 Rev 1.5, IMVP82 Rev 1.2 and AMD SVI2 REV 1.06 specifications.
IR35201 includes IR's efficiency shaping technology to provide excellent efficiency at the lowest cost in the entire load range. The dynamic phase control of infrared is based on the increase/decrease phase of load current. The IR35201 can be configured to enter the 1 phase or 2 phase PS1 operation and active diode simulation mode automatically or by command.
IR's unique adaptive transient algorithm (ATA), based on the proprietary nonlinear digital PWM algorithm, minimizes the output of bulk capacitors.
IR35201 has 127 possible address values for both PMBus and I2C bus interfaces. The device configuration can be easily defined using the IR PowIRCenter GUI and stored in on-chip non-volatile storage (NVM). This reduces external components and minimizes the size of software packages.
IR35201 provides a wide range of OVP, UVP, OCP, OTP and CAT_ FLT fault protection, including temperature sensing based on thermistor or temperature report per phase when using infrared level. The controller is designed to use Rdson current sensing power stage or DCR current sensing.
IR35201 also includes many VR design, simplification and differentiation functions, such as register diagnosis, which can achieve fast time-to-market.
