Tle4252 is an integrated low dropout voltage tracking regulator in a very small SMD package. It is designed to provide off board systems, such as sensors in engine management systems under harsh conditions of automotive applications. Therefore, the device is equipped to prevent reverse polarity and short circuit to GND and battery.
When the power supply voltage is up to 40V, the output voltage follows the reference voltage at the adjustment input. The minimum reference voltage applied directly to the regulation input or through, for example, an external resistance voltage divider can be 1.5V.
