Max2769b is the next generation global navigation satellite system (GNSS) receiver, which covers GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and compass navigation satellite systems on a single chip. This single conversion GNSS receiver is designed to provide high performance for industrial and automotive applications.
Maximb uses advanced low-power sigebicomos process technology to provide performance and integration at low cost. The chip contains a complete receiver chain, including a dual input LNA and mixer, followed by image rejection filter, PGA, VCO, fractional N frequency synthesizer, crystal oscillator and a multi bit ADC. The total cascade noise number of the receiver is as low as 1.4db.
Max2769b completely eliminates the need for external if filter by implementing single-chip filter. Only a few external components are required to form a complete low-cost GPS RF receiver solution.
The max2769b is the most flexible receiver on the market. The integrated sigma fractional N frequency synthesizer allows programming the IF frequency within ± 30Hz (FXTAL = 32mhz) while using any reference or crystal frequency available in the host system. ADC outputs CMOS logic level with 1 or 2 quantization bits for I and Q channels, or up to 3 quantization bits for I channels. I and Q analog outputs are also available.
The max2769b is packaged in a 5mm x5mm, 28 pin thin QFN package with an exposed paddle.
