ADS124S06 and ADS124S08 are both high-precision 24 bit Δ-Σ Analog to Digital Converter (ADC) combines low power consumption and multiple integration features, which can reduce system costs and reduce the number of components in small sensor signal measurement applications.
Both ADCs are equipped with configurable digital filters that can provide low latency conversion results and 50Hz or 60Hz noise suppression in noisy industrial environments. Programmable gain amplifier (PGA) has low noise characteristics and can provide gains of 1 to 128, which can amplify low amplitude signals for resistance bridge or thermocouple applications. SN65HVD101 and 'HVD102 are packaged in a 20 pin RGB package (4 mm) × 3.5 mm QFN). In addition, these two devices also integrate a low drift 2.5V voltage reference, reducing the area of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Finally, there are two programmable excitation current sources (IDAC) to provide accurate bias for resistance temperature detectors (RTDs).
The input multiplexer supports 12 inputs for ADS124S08 and 6 inputs for ADS124S06. These inputs can be connected to the ADC in any combination, thereby improving design flexibility. In addition, these two devices also include functions such as sensor burnout detection, thermocouple voltage bias, and system monitoring, as well as four universal I/O.
These two devices are packaged in ultra-thin square flat leadless (VQFN) -32 or thin square flat (TQFP) -32 packages.
