ADG1408/ADG1409 is a single-chip iCMOS ® An analog multiplexer consisting of 8 single channels and 4 differential channels, respectively. ADG1408 switches one of the 8 inputs to a common output, determined by the 3-bit binary address lines A0, A1, and A2. ADG1409 switches one of the four differential inputs to a common differential output, determined by the 2-bit binary address lines A0 and A1. The EN inputs on both devices are used to enable or disable the device. When disabled, all channels are closed.
The modular manufacturing process of Industrial CMOS (iCMOS) combines high-voltage complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) and bipolar technology. It can develop a wide range of high-performance analog integrated circuits, capable of operating at 33 V, which cannot be achieved by other generations of high-voltage equipment. Unlike analog integrated circuits that use traditional CMOS processes, iCMOS components can withstand high power voltages while providing higher performance, significantly reducing power consumption, and reducing packaging size.
The ultra-low resistance and resistance flatness of these switches make them ideal solutions for data acquisition and gain switch applications, where low distortion is crucial. The structure of iCMOS ensures ultra-low power consumption, making the device very suitable for portable and battery powered instruments.
