Lm2940 / lm2940c1a low dropout regulator
The lm2940 / lm2940c positive voltage regulator can source the output current. The dropout voltage is usually 0.5V, and the larger voltage in the whole temperature range is 1V. In addition, it also includes a quiescent current reduction circuit to reduce the ground current when the difference * between the input voltage and the output voltage exceeds about 3V. Therefore, the output current is 1a, and the static current with input-output difference of 5V is only 30mA. * high quiescent current exists only when the regulator is in exit mode (VIN − Vout ≤ 3V).
Lm2940 / lm2940c and all regulating circuits are also protected from reverse battery installation or 2 battery jump. During line transients, such as load dump when the input voltage can temporarily * exceed * the larger working voltage, the regulator will automatically shut down to protect the internal circuit and load. The lm2940 / lm2940c cannot harm the lm2940 / lm2940c through temporary image insertion. Familiar regulator features such as short circuit and thermal overload protection are also provided.
