Tps709 series linear regulators are ultra-low quiescent current devices designed for power sensitive applications. A precision bandgap and error amplifier has an accuracy of 2% in the temperature range. The quiescent current of only 1 µ a makes this device an ideal solution for normally open systems powered by batteries and requiring very little idle power dissipation.
In order to increase safety, these devices also have thermal shutdown, current limiting and reverse current protection functions. The off mode is enabled by pulling the EN pin to the low level. The off current of this mode is as low as 150nA (typical). Tps709 series is packaged with wson-6 and sot-23-5.
