Tps61252 equipment provides power solutions for products powered by three core alkaline, nickel cadmium or nickel hydrogen batteries or single core lithium ion or lithium polymer batteries. Wide input voltage range, suitable for portable applications such as mobile phones or computer peripherals. The device has silicon controlled programmable (rilim) input current limit and is suitable for a variety of applications.
During light load, the device automatically enters sskip mode (PFM), allowing the converter to maintain the required output voltage while extracting only 30% from the battery μ A quiescent current. This allows efficiency to be achieved at quiescent current.
The tps61252 allows the use of small inductors and capacitors to implement small solutions. The possibility of reducing the current limit through external resistors provides the possibility of using inductors with physically smaller and lower rated current to further reduce the overall solution size of the power supply. During shutdown, the load is completely disconnected from the battery. Tps61252 is packaged in 8-pin WSON with a size of 2mm × 2 mm (DSG).
