Description
Ucc2742x series high-speed dual MOSFET Drivers can provide high peak current to capacitive loads. Three standard logic options are available – dual inverter, dual in-phase, one inverter and one in-phase driver. Thermal enhanced 8-pin powerpad ™ MSOP package (DGN) can reduce thermal resistance and improve long-term reliability. It also offers standard soic-8 (d) or pdip-8 (P) packages. Using an inherent design that minimizes through current, these drivers provide 4A current where most needed in the Miller platform area during MOSFET switching.
A unipolar and MOSFET hybrid output stage in parallel also allows effective current source and sinking under low supply voltage. Ucc2742x provides enable (ENB) function to better control the operation of driver application. Enba and enbb are implemented on pins 1 and 8, which were not previously used in industry standard pin outputs. They are internally pulled to VDD for active high-level logic and can remain open for standard operation.
