LT ® 8365 is a current mode d-current / DC converter with 1.5A, 150V switch and input from 2.8V to 60V. With a unique single feedback pin architecture, it is capable of propulsion, spacing or inverted configuration. Burst mode operation consumes quiescent current as low as 9 µ a to maintain high efficiency at very low output current while maintaining a typical output ripple value below 15MV.
An external compensation pin allows optimization of loop bandwidth over a wide range of input and output voltages and programmable switching frequencies between 100kHz and 500KHz. A sync / mode pin allows synchronization to an external clock. It can also be used to select between burst or pulse skip operation modes with or without spread spectrum frequency modulation. To improve efficiency, a bias pin can accept a second input to supply the intvcc regulator. Other functions include frequency folding and programmable soft start to control inductor current during start-up.
The lt8365 is packaged in a thermally enhanced 16 lead MSOP with four pins removed for high voltage pin spacing.
