Adm7160 is a linear regulator with ultra-low noise and low dropout. Its working range is from 2.2V to 5.5V and provides an output current of up to 200mA. The low dropout voltage of 150mV at 200mA load improves efficiency and allows operation over a wide input voltage range.
Adm7 topology uses innovative circuit 160 to achieve ultra-low noise performance without bypass capacitor, making the device an ideal device for noise sensitive analog front-end and RF applications. Adm7160 also achieves ultra-low noise performance without affecting PSRR or transient line and load performance. Current limiting and thermal overload protection circuits prevent damage under adverse conditions. The adm7160 also includes an internal pull-down resistor on the en input.
Adm7160 is specially designed for stable operation with micro 1 µ F, ± 30% ceramic input and output capacitors to meet the requirements of high-performance and space limited applications.
The adm7160 has 16 small 5-lead TSOT and 6-lead lfcsp packages with fixed output voltage options from 1.1V To 3.3V. Lfcsp provides a very compact solution to provide excellent thermal performance for applications requiring 200mA output current.
