Tja1050 is the interface between controller area network (can) protocol controller and physical bus. The device provides differential transmission capability to the bus and differential reception capability to the CAN controller.
Tja1050 is the third high-speed can transceiver of Philips after PCA82C250 and pca82c251. The important differences are:
Due to the design, the electromagnetic radiation greatly reduces the matching of output signals canh and canl
• improved behavior without power nodes
• no standby mode.
This makes tja1050 very suitable for node power networks that are in a power off state in some cases.
features
• fully comply with "ISO 11898" standard
• high speed (up to 1 Mbaud)
• very low electromagnetic radiation (EME)
• differential receiver with wide common mode range
High electromagnetic immunity (EMI)
• no power node will not interfere with the bus line
• main timeout function of transmission data (TXD)
• disable the mute mode of the transmitter
• bus pins to prevent transients in the vehicle
environment
• input levels compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V devices
• thermal protection
• prevent short circuit to battery and ground
• at least 110 nodes can be connected.
