Description
When the lm5050-1 high side or FET Controller is connected in series with the power supply, it works with the external MOSFET as an ideal diode rectifier. This oring controller allows MOSFETs to replace diode rectifiers in distribution networks, thereby reducing power loss and voltage drop.
The lm5050-1 controller provides a charge pump gate driver and a fast response comparator for the external n-channel MOSFET to turn off the FET when the current flows in the opposite direction.
