The device is a four channel high-end drive that uses ST's proprietary vipower ® Manufactured by technology and installed in powerso-16 package. The device is designed to drive 12V vehicle grounding load through a 3V and 5vcmos compatible interface to provide protection and diagnosis.

The device integrates advanced protection functions, such as load current limit, overload active management power limit, overtemperature shutdown and configurable lockout shutdown.

Faultrst pin unlocks the output or disables the shutdown function in case of fault.

A dedicated multi-function multi-channel analog output pin provides complex diagnostic functions, including high-precision proportional load flu, power supply voltage feedback and chip temperature sensing, in addition to detecting overload and short circuit to ground, short circuit to VCC and off state load.

The sense enable pin allows the off state diagnosis to be disabled in the low power mode of the module and the off state diagnosis to be disabled when an external inductive resistor is shared between similar devices
