Si53156 is a spread spectrum resistant PCIe clock buffer, which can source 6 PCIe clocks at the same time. The device has six hardware outputs, enabling control inputs to enable their respective differential outputs. The device also has the output enable control function realized through I2C communication. The programmability of I2C can also be used to dynamically control the tilt, edge rate and amplitude of true, complementary or two differential signals on the clock output. This control feature enables better signal integrity of the clock and better EMI signature of the output. Measuring PCIe clock jitter is * * and easy with silicon lab's PCIe clock jitter tool.
